Environment & Sustainability

Building a sustainable strategy

No matter who you are, what you do, or how big your business is, we are here to help transform your business through the adoption of sustainable business practices that will help protect our environment.

Operating your business sustainably means meeting your own needs without compromising the ability of others to meet theirs, particularly future generations.

With increasing social and legislative pressures to protect our environment, this is not an easy issue to balance, but we are here to help you understand the impact of your business operations to ensure everyone begins to think ‘greener’ and is more environmentally conscious.

How can we help?

  • Environmental Compliance Support: Audits and inspections to help you operate in compliance with the law and best practice. Development of a Compliance Obligation Register to ensure you are always compliant and minimise the possibilities of fines and prosecution.
  • Accreditation: There are a number of industry-recognised accreditations that we can help you achieve; including ISO 14001, a framework to reduce your environmental impacts and ensure you meet legal requirements and build stakeholder trust, also giving a competitive edge. ISO 50001, designed to establish systems and processes to improve energy performance, including efficiency, use and consumption.
  • CEEQUAL Sustainability Assessment: An international evidence-based sustainability assessment, rating and awards scheme for civil engineering, infrastructure, landscaping and works in public spaces. Our CEEQUAL assessor will drive your assessment process forward to ensure projects obtain the highest CEEQUAL rating possible
  • Operate ‘greener’: Our team includes Non-Domestic Energy Assessors who collect data on dimensions, construction, heating and hot water provision of commercial and non-commercial buildings in order to produce an EPC and Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) Assessors who can help you reduce energy consumption. We can also help you produce a Carbon Reduction Plan.
  • Training: We offer a range of courses including IOSH Environment for Business course

Benefits of operating more sustainably:

  • Reputation: More and more companies will only deal with suppliers who operate sustainably and will seek recognised evidence that you are committed to protecting the environment.
  • Cost Savings: Recycling waste and reducing energy consumption are good for the environment but they can also reduce overheads.
  • Talent Retention: Increasingly, employees will judge a future employer based on their attitude towards the environment.

Our practical hands-on approach means that we will always be at your side to help and advise you as you create a plan and implement sustainable business practices and can be there on an ongoing basis to ensure continuous improvement and successful re-assessment.
