Local Exhaust Ventilation Assessment

Prevent exposure to airborne contaminants at work

Each year workers in the United Kingdom contract lung disease or asthma because they have breathed in too much dust, fume or other airborne contaminants at work. A properly designed maintained and operated local exhaust ventilation (LEV) system can prevent worker’s exposure.

The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations require Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) to be tested at least every 14 months.

We can help:

We will provide a comprehensive report for each piece of LEV equipment which will provide concise information on:

  • The conditions at the time of the test.
  • A simple diagram of the LEV layout and location with test points.
  • The methods used to make a judgement of the performance and what needs to be done to achieve that performance.
  • Comments on system wear and tear and whether components need repair or replacement.
